| The Otto-Schott-Institut of the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena seeks to establish a new field of competence and invites applications for postdoctoral positions. The applicants should hold an earned doctorate in materials science, physics or chemistry or a related field. The successful candidate will have experiences in glass fibre drawing technology and, ideally, in the characterization of glass fibres. The candidates are expected to build up an apparatus for glass fibre drawing that enables the preparation of fibres from glasses with various compositions and rheological behaviours. A strong interest in interdisciplinary research is required. Applications should include a summary of educational and professional backgrounds and a current list of published work.
