The Latvian dataset contains research related information about organisations, projects, and experts in various research domains, with particular emphasis on IST. The data have been kindly provided by IMCS - The Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Latvia.

The initial data are gathered from publicly available information in 2006, particularly taking into account the following resources: Latvian Council of Science, Idealist project. The data from Latvian NCP of EU Framework Programmes for Research and Development about successful participation of Latvian institutions in these programmes are included in the data set, as well.

It is expected that the information included in this data set will be integrated with information about participants from Latvia included in other data sets and that possibility to keep the information up to date will be provided to the persons mentioned in the data set.
