| The purpose of the project is to build up a thematic network of western and eastern European researchers, together with Chinese researchers. The network will analyse employment policies and social protection policies and the changing patterns of work and employment in the context of globalisation. This analysis will focus on the consequences of this process on social cohesion in Europe and China and will compare the various employment and social policies implemented by European and Chinese governments in order to adapt their economies while maintaining social cohesion. The comparison will allow identifying a number of common principles that are often taken for granted in the implementation of European policies. This will thus contribute to precise the concept of social Europe. |
